Insurance & Payment
Does insurance cover chiropractic care?
Most major health insurance plans — including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare — cover chiropractic care for medically necessary conditions. Coverage varies by plan, so we verify your benefits before your first visit and explain exactly what is and isn't covered. We also offer flexible payment plans for any out-of-pocket costs.
Do you accept PIP insurance?
Yes. McNamara Chiropractic Center accepts Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance — Florida's mandatory no-fault auto coverage. If you've been in a car accident, your PIP policy covers up to $10,000 in medical benefits (or $2,500 for non-emergency care) with no out-of-pocket cost to you when you seek treatment within 14 days of the accident.

How many sessions does spinal decompression take?
Most patients complete a spinal decompression program in 12 to 20 sessions over 4 to 6 weeks. The exact number depends on your diagnosis, severity, and how your body responds. Many patients begin feeling relief within the first few sessions, though a full course of treatment is recommended for lasting results.
What is the Antalgic-Trac machine?
The Antalgic-Trac is an FDA-cleared motorized traction device that gently decompresses the spine using precise angles and controlled distraction forces. Unlike manual traction, it targets specific spinal segments responsible for pain, making it highly effective for herniated discs, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease.
How does shockwave therapy work?
Shockwave therapy delivers high-energy acoustic pulses into injured tissue to stimulate the body's natural healing response. It breaks up calcified deposits, increases blood flow, and triggers collagen production. At McNamara Chiropractic Center, we use radial shockwave therapy to treat chronic tendon pain, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions — often with noticeable improvement in 3 to 5 sessions.
Is Knee on Trac the same as surgery?
No. Knee on Trac is a non-surgical, non-invasive decompression therapy for knee pain. It gently distracts the knee joint to reduce pressure on cartilage and surrounding tissues. It's an excellent alternative for patients who want to avoid surgery or who are managing osteoarthritis, meniscus issues, or post-surgical pain.
How long does Class IV laser therapy take?
Each Class IV laser therapy session at McNamara Chiropractic Center takes approximately 5 to 15 minutes depending on the area being treated. Most patients complete a series of 6 to 12 sessions over 2 to 4 weeks. The therapy is painless and there is no downtime — you can return to normal activities immediately after treatment.
